The 2008 season for the GateWay baseball team promises to be exciting as the Geckos have shown continual growth since their inaugural season in 2006. The third-year program will find sophomore leadership from its returners and benefit from the new talent it has recruited for this season.

In 2007, Sophomore third baseman Joe Urtuzuastegui was named to the All-ACCAC Second Team, and sophomore LHP Beau Polvorosa led the ACCAC Division II pitchers with 10 saves for the season.

The Geckos are on the rise and have high expectations for the future.  Head coach Victor Solis will continue to lead the Geckos in competitive conference play, with the prospect of post-season glory.
