Kim Allvin is interning as the Sports Information Director at GateWay.
Her goal at GateWay is to learn about the sports public relations field while promoting and increasing awareness about Gecko athletics.
Allvin received her bachelor’s degree in 2007 from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University in Tempe. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with minors in Spanish and Sociology.
At ASU, Allvin worked with the baseball team from 2003-2005 as a student volunteer, where she helped with promotional efforts and fundraising.
Other previous experience includes interning for Donor Network of Arizona in its Public Education department and serving as a college counselor for Valley high school students.
The former student-athlete played softball and volleyball from 1999-2003 at Marana High School in Tucson, AZ. She was also a member of the ASU Women's Lacrosse team from 2005-2006.
Allvin currently resides in Tempe where she enjoys being amateur photographer in her spare time. She also enjoys listening to acoustic music, and cheering for the Sundevils and St. Louis Cardinals.
